Like many other electric start-ups, Neuron EV wants to be in the headlines as much as possible.
The timing of the introduction of the company's T-One electric pickup/van was close to the global introduction of the Tesla Cybertruck, and it is clear that this was not a coincidence. Now, the California-based but Chinese-backed company has unveiled its Torque electric truck. Apparently, this electric truck will compete with the Tesla Semi truck.
So far, a prototype of this truck has been produced, the highlight of which is a cabin with a central position for the driver and a spacious cabin for resting and sleeping behind the driver's seat. The rear lounge and sleeping area benefits from a high-end infotainment system with surround sound, internet connectivity, plenty of storage space and a bed.
Like the T-One pickup/van, the Torque Truck benefits from a distinctive chassis with easily swappable body parts. This allows the operator to adjust the functionality of the vehicle and expand the cargo compartment when necessary.

Thanks to wireless cameras that send their information to the center screen via an app, the driver can have a 360-degree view of the surroundings. This increases safety, and according to Neuron, the central driver's position creates a good balance between field of vision, handling and an engaging driving experience.
The company also says the cabin is designed to be compatible with future self-driving systems. Torque's minimalistic dashboard can also be controlled using the available screens.
The central system used in this truck can be coordinated with any personal device, gadgets, internet and transportation management networks. Neuron EV did not mention the performance specifications of its new product, but it said that the Torque electric truck has good energy efficiency and can travel long distances on a single charge.
