The reason for naming Hashmi rice
Yusuf Hashemi, a farmer who lives in green Gilan, noticed some rice clusters in his paddy field in 1364. These clusters were different from other rice clusters. They were taller than the nameless rice ears and had a narrower stem. Yusuf Hashemi collected these clusters and in the following year, with the beginning of the spring season, he considered a separate treasury for them. He planted them and harvested them separately in the harvest season. He took these paddy fields to the rice threshing floor of Chaparkhaneh village. When the manager of the factory saw Hashemi rice, he realized that this rice is different from the other rice that other farmers bring. He asked Yusuf Hashemi what is the name of this rice? Yusuf Hashemi replied that I have not given a name for it. The manager of the factory named it Hashemi rice.
Hashmi rice properties
Hashemi rice has many properties like other rices, but due to the high amount of minerals and vitamins, it has become more popular than other rices. In the following, we mention some of its properties:

How to store Hashmi rice
The best way to store Hashmi rice is to use the following methods:
▪️ Keep Hashmi rice in a cool place away from moisture and sunlight.
▪️ Don't put the Hashmi rice bag on the ground and place it approximately 10 cm high.
▪️ Store Hashmi rice in cotton bags and away from other aromatic foods so that insects and the aroma of other foods do not affect your rice.
▪️ We recommend using glass containers instead of plastic containers.
▪️ You can put ingredients such as hot and dried pepper, cloves, garlic cloves, walnut leaves or skins, neem tree leaves, ginger, salt and turmeric inside the rice bag to prevent rice weevils from entering.
▪️ It is better to use rice early because the best way to protect rice is to use it on time. Usually, if you take care of the rice, they can be used for up to 2 years, and depending on the quality of the rice, they may have a longer life.
