How to implement the bed rebar in the wall post?

Today, in building construction, various methods are used to strengthen walls and structures against additional pressure such as earthquakes. The most common of these methods is the implementation of bed rebar in the wall post.

Rebar is considered one of the main and important components in the construction industry and has many uses. One of the types of rebar is bed rebar. Bed rebar is used to increase the strength of walls and structures. Wall post is also one of the methods of strengthening the walls against additional load such as earthquakes, which can be implemented with bed rebar

What is bed rebar?

One of the important materials for building a building is bed rebar. Today, bed rebar is used to increase the strength of the structure against earthquakes. Basically, bed rebar is used to strengthen structures. The bed rebar consists of 2 reinforcements, which are placed parallel to each other and at a certain distance from each other in the masonry wall, and a wire is welded between them. These reinforcements are usually produced and supplied with a length of 3 meters and a width distance of 5.5, 11 and 15.5 cm.

Congress wires are used in the bed rebar and its material is steel or galvanized carbon steel. The diameter of the wires can be considered as minimum 4 mm and maximum 8 mm depending on the type of project. This method increases the contact of the product and increases the tensile strength of the mortar. The use of bed rebar in the walls increases their resistance to additional loads such as strong winds and earthquakes. During the construction of the wall, the reinforcements are placed among the materials and covered with mortar. Bed rebars are used for the following purposes:

1. Strengthening the walls against additional load

2. increasing the length of the walls

3. increasing the coherence of the wall

The benefits and applications of bed rebar are many. It is easy to use the bed rebar compared to the wall post and it does not require welding and construction, which is why it is widely used and popular.
